Tim (and Willie) on The Pack Podcast – One Year Later

Here’s some exciting news – Tim is back for another episode of The Pack Podcast, and this time, he’s co-starring with none other than Willie Garson!

As the title – One Year Later – suggests, this one is about two friends catching up over Zoom after a year of dealing with Covid. Each one represents a stereotypical way of dealing with quarantine (we all probably know some of each type), but to two very different extremes.

Without giving anything away, I’ll say I wanted to be more like Tim’s character at the start of quarantine but definitely ended up more like Willie’s character. (And I know I’m not the only one!) 😉

You can listen on The Pack Podcast website – let us know what you think of it in the comments below!

The Pack started out performing original one-act comedies by Emmy-nominated and Drama Desk Award Winner Eugene Pack live in theaters, but COVID-19 forced them to move their shows to an online podcast format, and they returned with spoken-word radio plays, with the cast participating and recording from their homes. Tim Live on Cameo Calls

Here’s some fun news – Tim will be going live on Cameo Calls on Sunday, March 21 at 8pm EDT / 5pm PDT, and you could have a chance to talk to him one-on-one! Here’s how it works:

For $30, you’ll get a 2-minute, one-on-one video chat with Tim himself, as well as a photo with him at the end. (The event benefits PATH – People Assisting the Homeless – in L.A.) Tim said he’ll be on for about 40 minutes, so several people will get a chance to chat with him. Team DeKay member Kelli B. said chances go quickly, so be sure to have your payment method ready before the event starts!

You can find Tim’s Cameo page at this link. I’m not very familiar with Cameo, but I believe you have to sign up for an account (free) and download the app (also free) to participate in the Cameo Calls event.

Good luck – if you get through, let us know how your chat with Tim went!

The Expanse Season 5

Some of you may have noticed that we’ve had a guest appearance for season 5 of The Expanse listed in the “Upcoming Appearances” section of the sidebar for the past several months, but we weren’t allowed to include any specific details. Well, now that the first episodes of season 5 have been released, we can say more!

Tim is appearing as Admiral Sauveterre in episodes 2 and 10 of the latest season of The Expanse. Episode 2 was released today, while episode 10 (the season finale) won’t be posted until February 3, 2021. The Expanse streams on Amazon Prime and will run for six seasons in total.

Here’s a screenshot from episode 2 – I’ll be posting more on our Instagram account!

Looking very sharp, sir!

As always, you can let us know what you thought of the episode in the comments! I’m not familiar with the show or books (although I’ve been told I should watch the show), so I don’t know anything about Tim’s character – outside of the fact that he’s a great lecturer! Looking forward to seeing more for sure.

Happy 18th Birthday, Danna!

The younger of the DeKay siblings has turned 18 – Happy Birthday, Danna!

Collage of photos of Danna DeKay and family for Danna's 18th birthday.

It’s certainly been a crazy year – a global pandemic, distance learning to start Danna’s senior year of high school (and socially-distanced volleyball?!), masks and sanitizer everywhere, an equal rights revolution, an election for the ages, The Great Toilet Paper Shortage, so many hurricanes that they ran out of names…should I go on?

And though some things may have gone a bit differently during this trip around the sun, Danna seems to have handled it with grace and a fierce spirit. It’s been so inspiring to watch her grow from that sweet little girl who accompanied her dad to White Collar events into an amazing young woman – an academic, an athlete, an artist, an activist.

Thank you so much, Danna, for letting us come along on the journey – we’re looking forward to cheering you on in whatever your bright future may bring! Much love and respect! 💙🎉

You can leave your birthday wishes for Danna in the comments below, or post them on our Instagram post!

The Working Actors Journey

This Friday, Tim will be taking part in Geoffrey Blake’s weekly Zoom show, The Working Actors Journey, along with George Newbern! They’ll be discussing acting and their careers, as well as whatever else comes up!

The show airs this Friday, August 14 at 7pm Pacific (10pm Eastern) on Zoom! I’ve been emailing Geoff about this, and he’s assured me that multiple people can use the same Zoom invitation – so as soon as we receive ours, we’ll post it here for everyone to use!

**Event has ended – thanks to all who joined us!**

Happy 21st Birthday, Jamis!

Today’s the big one for Jamis DeKay – he turns 21 years old today! Happy Birthday, Jamis! Although things are pretty crazy right now, we hope you have an awesome day, and we’re wishing you happiness, success, and good health in the upcoming year and beyond!

Here’s the collage I posted on Instagram – you can leave your birthday wishes for Jamis there (he follows our account), or you can post them here if you don’t have an IG account, and we’ll pass them along!

I’ll be sharing a few other photos and videos on our IG stories throughout the day, including this one, which is from exactly 10 years ago today – on Jamis’ 11th birthday!

Jamis will be starting his sophomore year at Yale (remotely) in the fall, and hopefully we’ll have Covid under control by spring so he can get back to playing baseball for the Bulldogs!

Tim on Cameo

We just got the go-ahead from Tim himself to let everyone know that he’s now on Cameo!

For those who don’t know, Cameo is a service where you can get personalized video messages from celebrities. (For example, you can request a video for a friend’s birthday or other special occasion.)

The cost for a video from Tim is $45, and a portion of the proceeds will go to PATH (People Assisting The Homeless), an organization which is helping to end homelessness in California by building affordable housing and offering support services.

If anyone gets a video from Tim, and you want us to share it here on the site, please contact us using the contact form or through one of our social media accounts!
